Tips for former AOL users

Now that you've made the switch to NetZero, you will notice certain differences in the way you connect to the Internet and use different features. However, you will still be able to access your AOL email, use your AIM Instant Messenger, and visit chat rooms and other areas of AOL that you enjoyed.

This page will provide you with a few tips to help you start using NetZero, and surfing the Internet.

NetZero and its services are not affiliated with or endorsed by America Online, Inc.

A. How do I check my AOL and NetZero email?

When using NetZero to connect to the Internet you can access your AOL email at any time by going to AOL.com and logging in. However, as a NetZero member, you will also get Message Center, giving you a minimum of 1GB of mail storage, and access to your email from any computer with an Internet connection.

You can use Message Center, by either going to webmail.NetZero.com, or clicking on the Message Center tab at the top of your NetZero start page at http://my.NetZero.com

For more information on how to use Message Center, click here.

B. How do I check my NetZero account information?

You can check the status of your account information at any time, from any computer, by visiting https://account.netzero.net/s/account.

If you need help using the Account Information page, click here.

C. Can I still use my Instant Messenger (AIM)?

NetZero has a built-in Instant Messaging feature that allows you to send instant messages to all other NetZero members using NetZero Voice.
However, NetZero is compatible with most Instant Messaging programs, including AIM, so you can keep in touch with everyone on your buddy list. If you uninstalled AIM when you removed the AOL connection software, you can download the latest version by clicking here.
