Instant Messaging

Yes. NetZero offers a built-in Instant Messaging feature for all its members. Instant Messaging is accessible from the NetZero Voice software. The feature allows you to chat live online with friends and family who have a NetZero account.

NetZero also supports other popular Instant Messaging programs such as AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, and Trillian.

Newsgroups

While NetZero does not maintain its own direct newsgroup servers, there are still several ways to access NNTP / Usenet services. Try going to the My NetZero homepage and use the Search the Web tools. Search for the words "Usenet servers" or "Free NNTP" to find Web-based and traditional Usenet Newsgroup access.
