Outlook Express - "Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication???"

Complete the following instructions to resolve this issue:

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  1. From the Tools menu, select Accounts.
  2. Select the Mail tab and click once on pop.netzero.com to highlight it.
  1. Click on the Properties button.
  2. Select the Servers tab.
  1. Uncheck the circle next to Log on using Secure Password Authentication.
  2. Uncheck the box next to My server requires authentication.
  3. Repeat steps 3-7 if you have more than one account.
  4. Click OK to exit.
