No. You do not need to download and install new versions of NetZero DSL firmware. Firmware updates are normally done automatically. To manually check for any firmware upgrades for your DSL modem, follow these steps:

1. Open a web browser and go to gateway.netzero.net.
2. Click on the Upgrade the System icon.
3. You will be given a list of any available upgrades, which can installed automatically.
