How do I enable/disable the NetZero DSL modem firewall?

Your NetZero DSL firewall is enabled by default, and we strongly recommend that you don't disable it unless you have other firewalls in place.

To disable your NetZero DSL modem firewall:

  1. Access your modem's settings by going to gateway.netzero.net.
  2. Your firewall status is shown on the right side of the screen. Click on the firewall icon (the lock), or the View Firewall Status link.
  3. Click on the Firewall Status link in the navigation bar.
  4. Choose Allow all applications (DMZplus mode).
  5. Click Done.
Your NetZero DSL modem's firewall is now disabled.

To enable your NetZero DSL modem firewall:

  1. Access your modem's settings by going to gateway.netzero.net.
  2. Your firewall status is shown on the right side of the screen. Click on the firewall icon (the lock), or the View Firewall Status link.
  3. Click on the Firewall Status link in the navigation bar.
  4. Choose Allow individual application(s).
  5. Click Done.
Your NetZero DSL modem's firewall is now enabled.
